Library

There is proper arrangement of library and reading room in Gagan College. Sufficient number of books on various subjects is available in it. All the major newspapers and magazines of APEJ and Hindi come to the reading room. There is a provision for study for the students in the study room of the library

Library Rules & Regulations

• Library card will be made only after the students show their identity card and admission receipt.
• Not more than two books will be given at a time on the student’s library card.
• The book will be given only for a period of 21 days. If the book is kept for a longer period, a fine of Rs. 1 per day will be levied. In case of holidays, if the book is not deposited till the first day of opening of the college, the student will have to pay the late fee for the time of vacation.
• If a student wants to keep a book for more than 21 days, he can deposit it and get it the next day. This book will be given twice only if no other student needs that book at the same time.
• Magazines and newspapers will be available for study only; the facility to take them home will not be provided.
• All books must be returned to the library before the start of the examination. If a student loses a book, he or she will have to pay the new price of that book. Or permission to appear in the examination will be given only after providing a new book. Reference books will not be issued to students. These books will be read in the library only.
• While taking the book, the student should check whether the book is torn or its pages are missing from anywhere. Otherwise, while returning the book, if the book is not torn from anywhere, then the student should If the book is torn or the pages are missing, the student will be responsible for it and will have to pay the cost of the new book.
• The admission card will be given only if the book is returned to the library before the commencement of the examination and if the book is obtained by depositing the security amount. If the money deposited will be refunded after returning the books of the examination.
• It is very important to maintain peace in the library. Guilty students will be punished. Students will have to follow the rules related to the library. If there is any difficulty in getting a book, the student can personally contact the librarian.

• The college is a heritage of all of us, its protection and beautification is a sacred act. Therefore, the college campus should not be allowed to get polluted or suffer any kind of damage.
• This educational institution is a symbol of friendly sentiments. Therefore, one should give up oppressive tendencies and patiently try to solve problems.
• Being a member of the college family, indecent language/behavior should not be used with any professor, officer, employee or student.
• This college is the carrier of the Indian tradition of Guru-Shishya. Therefore, we expect that the students here should behave in a humble manner keeping in line with the dignity of a disciple.
• Use the materials and equipment of the college laboratories carefully. You all will be responsible for their breakage or loss.
